Cats like to have some privacy when going in their box. Make sure then to keep it far from busy places. Also avoid putting their food next to it; because no one like to eat next to their toilet! Keep the box in a dry and well-ventilated area; any litter will lose its efficiency if kept in a humid place such as the bathroom or basement.
